Meagan + Gavin’s Engagement Photos
Update: Meagan + Gavin’s Destination Wedding Gallery (Jamaica)
Meagan messaged me earlier that day, both of us were concerned about taking engagement photos that evening because it had been raining all night, and the days before. For the hot summer Ontario had received, it seemed I brought in some BC rain.
I assured her even rain makes for great photos, and we would do the best with what the weather would provide. Normally I am much more flexible, but I was only in Ontario for a few days and that Tuesday was the only evening that could fit both our schedules.
When Gavin and Meagan showed up, the skies cleared. Beautiful golden beams of light shined through dark purple clouds, and the colour and light bounced around creating an amazing scene to photograph.
We walked a short route down the gravel road and went into one of my favourite fields. I think someone should consider throwing a wedding in that field, with a long, long straight table for the dinner.
The couple led the way, ducking in-between small meadows and trees. The sun made the long grass look whimsical. Their dogs ran up and down the line, always checking in with their owners for a moment before turning their heads in a new direction.
Meagan and Gavin took no coasting, photographing their love came very natural. As their love for each other is. Because I am always looking through the lens, at weddings or just with couple photography, I am always looking for the best shot. Hence, my love for candid photography. Gavin kept looking at Meagan when she was laughing or looking away, and she would look back at him with the same look of adoration when Gavin would look away. Showcasing their love took no effort; it shines.
This lovely couple is going to be celebrating their special day this Spring in Jamaica, surrounded by their fun, loving families. I can’t wait to be there to capture it all, I know it’s going to be one of 2017’s best weddings! I mean, look how beautiful and kind they are!
